I am so glad to read this article, as non violent practitioner I am hardly trying to more things in My Country, there are thousands of people are powerless in my country, my sad is still people couldn’t understand they are they have individual power for their rights, this is kind of slow process but I am always thinking one day we can do something together

This is an eye opening article, for me at least. I have always just taken the MLK holiday as just another long weekend, but after reading this article I have come to realize that i must be appreciative and grateful for not only the things that MLK did but also the feats other inspirational, non-violent leaders have overcame. We shouldn't forget what occurred for us to gain freedoms we have today, and we should apply what happened in the past to help guide us in the future.

This article truly brought out the reasons for celebrating MLKJ's birthday. Nowadays many people get caught up on the fact that it is a holiday meant to be enjoyed but few pay attention to the relevance of MLK's speeches that still plays a huge role in contemporary society. This article was excellent reminding us why it is we celebrate the life of this great civil rights activist.

Assalam Alaikum!!

MashAllah very well written. I loved the introduction and the way you boldly state what situation we are facing today. I also thought the quotes were perfectly placed and extremely relevant to not only King's time but also ours. I also enjoyed the question proposed which allowed the reader to reflect on his/herself and what actions we have taken to promote this non-violent movement. JazakAllah khair for this article. I think the last two sentences should be on a t-shirt or a logo for somthing. "Get involved. Fight for Change."
