[The celebration] was very scary. It was the vilest, basest display of blind patriotic fervor I have ever witnessed. There’s a shiver that sort of runs down your back when you hear people screaming “HE’S DEAD HE’S DEAD.” And there were random people running into each other’s arms, hugging each other as if all the world’s problems were solved.
There were literally people running to the White House from every which direction, causing the biggest traffic jam. And then honking filled the air and they began yelling “USA, USA, USA.”
But isn’t that contradictory though; hordes of people celebrating Osama bin Laden’s death as if he had that much power and influence over their lives.
At least there was a group nearby singing “Peace on Earth.”
