What topics do you write about?
Whatever pops into my head. Attempting to compartmentalize that into “topics” really is an adorable practice in insanity.
What do you dream of doing 10 years from now?
Ideally, I would be in Yemen working towards remedying a struggling, but promising economy and teaching my son that Michael Jordan was 6 at one point too…and live vicariously through him for the 10 years after that.
What are your passions?
I enjoy long walks on the beach, pretending to have a good time while someone in the background explains the deathly side-effects of some prescription drug, and lip-synching all of Ryan Gosling’s lines from “The Notebook”.
Why did you decide to become an Al-Talib columnist?
Because I genuinely believe that there is no impact like that of words on a soul. To be given an avenue to express real ideas I believe in, to an audience that I trust to turn those ideas into implementable life solutions is, perhaps, one of a very small handful of experiences too rewarding to be possibly put into words.
