Zeyad Zaky is a first year master’s student in mechanical engineering. His current occupations include being a student, a (former) high school quarterback, and full-time boss/baller. His columns are published every Wednesday.
What topics do you write about?
The topics of my column vary week by week. I look to reflect on certain issues I have found personally challenging to deal with inshallah.
What do you dream of doing 10 years from now?
Ten years from now I hope to be working and hanging out with my family. My overall dream is to be content.
What are your passions?
My passions are football and engineering.
Why did you decide to become an Al-Talib columnist?
I didn’t realize I had become an Al-Talib columnist until recently. I was just asked to write a blog, and I thought it would be a good opportunity to work on my skills as a writer—which need considerable improvement. I also thought it would be a good chance to express myself (as opposed to previous preferred methods of interpretive dance which just never seemed to come across).
