Here We Are, Here We Stand
Rather with duty than choice
To build an identity
To which others may not conform
Through a sacrifice
In search of our paradise
With a small hope
That our actions will suffice
At the end of the day
We are all criminals
In a world full of crime
Slicing deep within the veins we cannot see
Leaking blood we cannot feel
And yearning to live a life worth living
Regardless of strife
For this, we must heal and listen
For every breath we take
Life exhales and death inhales
Thus I must say
Purpose fulfills extrinsic desires
But satisfaction lies upon intrinsic beliefs
Intentions are soul deep
To repent and to trust
It is up to us
For as what we leave in this world
Travels back as our fate in the afterlife
Every action is recorded
Even what we hide will always be found
The power lies within our faith
Routes you choose
Understanding what to refuse
To not lose
From that very first cry
Here We Fall, Here We Land
