To generate awareness of the immediate need for female education, UCLA is hosting a film screening of the 10×10 Production, “Girl Rising,” which depicts the stories of nine girls from nine different countries who overcome numerous obstacles to get an education.
FEMEN’s recent protest, “International Topless Jihad Day”, drew condemnation from Muslim women across the world. By and large, the ethos of non-Muslim feminists have been antithetical to Muslim women.
