The American incarceration system has made it a point to imprison people, bar them from outside contact, isolate them from society and bunch them together to have “tea-parties”. Meanwhile, they fail to provide them with proper rehabilitation programs and a safe environment to foster development and change.
After the verdict against 10 of the infamous “Irvine 11” was given, a townhall meeting was held at the Islamic Institute of O.C. There, community members of all backgrounds and faith gathered to hear from the lawyers, community leaders and the students themselves.

The infamous Irvine 11 will soon become the Irvine 10 after charges against one of the eleven students are planned to be dropped, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s office.
